Chapter One :Chapter 1

Lu Renren had been staring at the handsome man beside her for a full five minutes before she finally seemed to process the situation.

Was he... asleep?

She shifted her legs slightly, the soreness throughout her body confirming her suspicions. But how exactly this had happened, she couldn’t quite recall.

Still, the current scene seemed far more pressing.

Look at him—those thick, long lashes were downright enviable. His flawless face, the high bridge of his nose, the perfect curve of his lips—it was as if they were all beckoning her to take a closer look.

This was dangerous...

Lu Renren quickly covered her nose, fearing she might actually get a nosebleed.

With a helpless sigh, she ran a hand over her forehead. Even someone as out of touch as her knew exactly who this sleeping Adonis was.

Li Huaijin—a superstar so famous he was practically glowing, an international sensation.

She remembered stumbling upon a fan’s comment online: “If Huaijin’s gaze lingers on you for even a moment, you can die without regrets.”

She wondered, if his fans knew she’d spent the night with him, would they think she’d ascended to heaven on the spot?

But what was she supposed to do now that she’d somehow ended up in this situation with such a celebrity?

Should she walk away gracefully, like the heroine in a novel? Or should she demand an explanation for the loss of her 26 years of innocence and force him to take responsibility?

Or... she’d heard his autograph was worth a fortune. Maybe she could just be practical about it. “Can I get your signature?”

Just as Lu Renren’s thoughts were spiraling into wild fantasies, the sleeping beauty’s eyelashes fluttered.

As her trembling eyelashes fluttered open, a pair of drowsy, dark eyes met Lu Renren's astonished face. His unruly black hair fell across his forehead, brushing against his lashes. He smiled faintly, as if unaware of his own charm, and his alluring lips parted slightly. In a hoarse, barely audible voice, he murmured, "Good morning."

Lu Renren's eyes widened, her mind still foggy. Struck by his disarming smile, she blurted out without thinking, "Is it true? The rumor about you and that international supermodel, Claire?"

But the moment the words left her mouth, she regretted them instantly.

Her lips twitched, and she bit back the urge to say more, choosing instead to remain silent.

Li Huaijin glanced at the bewildered Lu Renren and let out a soft chuckle. Instead of answering her question, he lazily stretched his arms and got out of bed, moving with a natural ease as if she weren’t even there. He pulled back the covers and stood up, completely unselfconscious, leaving Lu Renren once again face-to-face with his bare form.

Lu Renren: "…"

Was she invisible or something?

Quickly, she yanked the blanket over her head, belatedly feeling a wave of embarrassment wash over her.

But seriously, his physique was absolutely jaw-dropping…

A moment later, the sound of running water drifted from the bathroom, and Lu Renren finally let out a breath she hadn’t realized she was holding. She sighed in resignation and glanced at the scattered clothes on the floor.

"Li Huaijin Visits New Leading Lady, Secret Romance Exposed!"

Lu Renren habitually opened QQ as soon as she arrived at the office that morning. The headline and accompanying photo on QQ Entertainment News caught her eye. The article was filled with seemingly credible details, and the pictures were undeniably suggestive—Li Huaijin and a woman laughing together, their heads occasionally leaning close, appearing intimate.

The entertainment world was always buzzing with endless gossip and rumors. Whether any of it was true, only the people involved could say.

Like last month’s scandal about Li Huaijin and the popular supermodel Claire—was that real or not?

Ugh! Why hadn’t she pressed for a clear answer back then? Even if she hadn’t gotten to the bottom of the rumor, she could’ve at least asked for his autograph!

Lu Renren shook her head, pulling her thoughts back to the present. She glanced at the clock—it was time for class.

As a proud elementary school teacher, Lu Renren, at the age of twenty-six, had no grand ambitions or illustrious family background to speak of. If there was one thing worth mentioning, it was her elementary school desk mate, Huo Chengbin, who had now become a rising director in the entertainment industry. Of course, looking back, her childhood crush on him, the way she used to cling to him and secretly adore him, was perhaps the most beautiful "first love" she had ever experienced.

But, but...

Even with their "history," this man couldn't keep taking advantage of her like this.

Why was it that even extras with no lines could earn twenty bucks and get a free meal, while she, the director's elementary school classmate and close friend, had to make a cameo for free? And he didn't even cover her travel expenses?

Was this some kind of cruel joke?

And to make matters worse, did she really have to suffer like this? In the sweltering heat, dressed in layers upon layers, she had to kneel as the unfortunate supporting character who gets punished. Kneeling was one thing—she could just bow her head and play the pitiful victim while the male lead did his thing in front of her.

Simple, right? Easy, right?

Damn it, who said it was simple?

Did that brat Huo Chengbin even know she had already knelt four times? Did he even realize that the male lead in front of her was the one-night stand she had been desperately trying to forget?

Well... he probably didn't know that.

Lu Renren shook her head again. But even if he didn't know, how could he have the nerve to make his "first love" kneel on the ground for so long?

"Cut!"

"Extra, who told you to shake your head? Where's your mind wandering off to? Get your act together!"

Seriously, that brat. I'm at least ten days older than you, and you dare talk to me like that?

Lu Renren lowered her head, grinding her teeth in frustration. Before she could stand up, the male lead suddenly crouched down, his face directly meeting her furious, teeth-gritting expression.

Her ugly, unretracted face froze under Li Huaijin's half-smiling gaze. Damn it, don't smile at me like that. Your smile keeps reminding me of that seductive, yet utterly irresistible look you had when you were naked and doing... "exercise"...
